  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 banana (optional, mashed)
  • 12 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup

Ingredients for kefir ice cream laid out on a kitchen counter

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together kefir, protein powder, banana (if using), honey/maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint, leaving space at the top. Smooth the surface flat.
  3. Freeze the pint flat for 12–24 hours.
  4. Spin the frozen pint using the “Lite Ice Cream” or “Smoothie Bowl” function.
  5. If crumbly, add 1–2 tablespoons of kefir or almond milk and use the “Re-Spin” function.
  6. Mix in your favorite additions like fresh berries, chocolate chips, or crushed walnuts.
  7. Serve immediately or store and spin again before next use.

Notes

Use a dry-erase marker to label the pint with mix-ins for easy tracking. Re-spinning with a bit of extra kefir perfects the texture.
